VOX Cinemas confirms UAE release date of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ on 16 August in time for Eid festivities

Dubai, UAE, 08 August 2012 -   This Eid, residents in the UAE are in store for a phenomenal movie line up, certain to appeal widely to all movie goers. UAE residents will be able to enjoy ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, Disney Pixar’s ‘Brave’, ‘The Expendables 2’, ‘Teta Rahiba (Arabic) and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (Hindi) with VOX Cinemas preparing to showcase movies for all tastes during the Eid festive period. With advance tickets now on sale, VOX Cinemas’ customers can be the first to secure tickets to see these highly anticipated blockbusters.

Currently smashing box office records in the US, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ will be released on August 16th across all of VOX Cinemas’ five locations in the UAE: Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre, Mirdif City Centre, Ajman City Centre and Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi. The epic conclusion to Director Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is expected to draw large crowds with several sessions expected to sell out early in advance of its release.


Other major Hollywood movie hits premiering on August 16th at all VOX Cinemas are ‘Brave’, the latest animated feature film from Disney’s Pixar Studios featuring a fiery heroine and skilled archer named Merida who relies on her bravery to undo a family curse and ‘The Expendables 2’ featuring an unmatched roster of Tinseltown’s biggest and best action stars including Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Bollywood fans are also in for a treat with one of the biggest Hindi films of the year, Ek Tha Tiger, an action-thriller-romance featuring celebrity favourite Salman Khan, rounding up the Eid movie line-up. Ek Tha Tiger is set for release on August 15th.
